Ingredients
Scale
1 (8 oz/235 g) can of crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
2 cups (300 g) cooked chicken, shredded or diced
4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup (50 g) shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
1/4 cup (60 ml) sour cream
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional Garnish:
Chopped fresh parsley
Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Make the chicken filling:
In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Assemble the crescent rolls:
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture (about 1-2 tablespoons) at the wide end of each triangle.
Roll the crescent dough tightly around the filling, starting at the wide end and working toward the tip. Pinch any edges to seal the filling inside.
Bake:
Place the stuffed crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve:
Let the rolls cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley or Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm with a side of ranch dressing, marinara sauce, or a fresh salad.
Notes
Make it spicy: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or diced jalapeños to the chicken filling for a kick.
Variations:Â Use rotisserie chicken for convenience, or swap the cheddar cheese for mozzarella, pepper jack, or Swiss.
Storage:Â Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
